If it’s especially bad news, what would you want? A detailed email explaining everything? A text message? Or a personal phone call in which empathy is expressed for your situation?
How does being a Christian affect our conveying bad news to someone?
A deal has fallen through, a warranty won’t cover the damage, an important deadline has been delayed or some other adverse thing has happened affecting our customer or client.
In business we’re taught to discover which form of communication our customer or client most likes to use.
A phone call? A text? An email? Then we use that one ordinarily.
Maybe we don’t know which one they like the best. What then?
