Part of “subduing” and “ruling” (Genesis 1:26-28) is fulfilled in phones, computers, and other technology. Yes, these things can be and are abused. But the problem is in the person who operates it, or, in the case of children harmed, the parents who allow its use. But the phone is not the problem.
We may hate to hear the phone ring, but it may be part of our job to be on call.
It’s what we signed up for when we took the job, and it’s what helps pay the bills so we can have a better lifestyle.
People celebrated phones in their beginning, now some see them as a curse.
But they aren’t a curse.
In the grand scheme of things and the providence of God, they are part of the fulfillment of the mandate God gave to Adam and Eve in Eden.
