According to Will Huss, chairman of the committee, “During Tom’s tenure as Coordinator, RUF has seen encouraging and amazing growth. He made hard decisions, was passionate about RUF, committed to the gospel, and led our organization in new and exciting ministry directions.

“We continue to benefit from, the initiatives he pursued,” Huss said, “for the new ideas he infused, and the way he was able to hire strategically and well.

Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) National Coordinator, Rev. Tom Cannon, stepped down from his role on March 2, 2018. His resignation was received by the permanent committee with appreciation for his service and tenure as chairman. RUF is the university ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America.

Tom’s heart for RUF’s continued success is evident to the entire Permanent Committee. For all of these reasons, we remain grateful for Tom’s contributions to RUF.

“We want to communicate clearly that no other factor was involved in this other than Tom’s belief this was best for him and for RUF.”

Former national coordinator, Rev. Rod Mays, has agreed to serve as RUF’s interim national coordinator. A search committee will be formed to find the next Coordinator. “We ask you to please join us in prayer during this process,” said Huss.
