Whatever battle the Lord has placed before you today, he has done so to show his strength through you. Whatever battle you are facing is no match for the voice of the Lord. Whether your struggle is long or short, fierce or simmering, external or internal, the Lord sits as king forever (v. 8).
I know you need it today, so I will tell you concisely using Psalm 29, “The Lord will give strength to his people” (Psalm 29:11). What kind of strength can the Lord provide for his people? His voice alone can shake the wilderness (v. 8). His voice can make the deer calve and strip the forest bare (v. 9). His voice can break in pieces the cedars of Lebanon (v. 5). His voice is powerful and majestic (v. 4), it thunders over many waters (v. 3), and that is only a glimpse of what he can do with his voice alone.\
