North Park Presbyterian church of Jackson, MS, has always loved us and cared for us well. Even greater was their love for Christ and their desire to see His church spread to all corners of the earth. Their zeal for global missions was evident when their doors were open, and it will continue to be evident even after their doors are closed.
On April 28, a very dear partner church of ours (the Bonhams) closed its doors after more than half a century of ministry. It was the church where Nikki and I gave our very first missions presentation back in 2008 after our vision trip to the Philippines. They have been with us during every step in our missions journey. More than that, it is where Nikki’s family went before they helped plant Highlands Presbyterian Church, where her parents worshipped for many years, and where her grandparents have attended for as long as she could remember.

You see, as they worshiped together as North Park church for the last time on April 28th, they were also in the process of selling their property to a newly planted church in the Jackson metro area. This sale not only provided a home for a church in Jackson, but their care for the spread of the gospel didn’t stop there. They also generously committed all the proceeds from the building to continue supporting the missionaries they had committed to for many years to come through a fund with the PCA Foundation. All though their doors are closed, their dedication to Christ’s church will continue. Their church has helped plant the seeds for many more churches around the globe. What a legacy!
We would like to say thank you to all the people at North Park Church. Your love for us did not go unnoticed and your love for Christ will continue to be noticed.
Please pray for the people of North Park as they find new church families. Some of them have been with the same church family since it began over 50 years ago. As you can imagine, this will be a difficult time for them.
Praise the Lord that he has blessed us with such amazing friends and partners in ministry.
