“We focus on understanding people as being in covenant,” Bailey said. “That is a relationship ruled by promises.”
Several families in Enid who have been meeting in homes for several years now have a pastor and a church name.
Noah Bailey is pastor of Enid Reformed Church, which has been holding services since September.
Enid Reformed Church has about 25 members who attend, part of Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America.
“Our emphasis is an aggressive commitment to the word of God in the Bible,” Bailey said.
That commitment is where the RPCNA differs from many churches that are part of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
“A lot of the PC (USA) has wandered away from the Scriptures,” Bailey said.
However, Enid Reformed Church is not trying to pull members away from area Presbyterian Churches.
“Enid is blessed in that the PC (USA) here does preach the gospel,” he said.
Enid Reformed Church is focused on remaining faithful to Scripture and not succumbing to other influences.
“So much so that all we sing in worship services is the Psalms,” Bailey said. “All we read, all we preach in the services is drenched in the Bible.”
Other than scripture, Enid Reformed Church takes promises seriously.
“We focus on understanding people as being in covenant,” Bailey said. “That is a relationship ruled by promises.”
