The Christian Education and Publications Committee of the Presbyterian Church in America (www.pcacep.org) is seeking a Coordinator (executive officer) to give creative leadership for the agency and its programs. The office is in Lawrenceville, GA. An acceptable applicant must be (or become) a PCA Teaching Elder (minister).
Job Summary
To serve as the Coordinator (CEO) of CEP’s ministry, to implement the program and policies defined by the PCA and the CEP Committee, as well as give direction to CEP’s Ministry, to acquire staff members necessary for program effectiveness, and to represent CEP to the denomination and the church at large.
Job Duties
- To be responsible for the day to day operation of the CEP ministry in the PCA
- To help the staff and committee be aware of the context of the ministry i.e. times and issues to be addressed—what God would have us to do.
- To insure that the resources are being used consistently with CEP’s mission and ministry
- To work with staff in training, consulting with local churches, and developing the best resources to serve our constituents.
- To work with staff and committee in development and funding of CEP.
- To serve as a member (ex officio) of the Great Commission Publications Board.
- To work with other PCA agencies in the overall mission of the PCA.
- To direct and oversee the preparations of CEP’s annual budget and ensure financial accountability.
- To oversee all departments of CEP’s operation.
- To maintain a biblical and theological posture in keeping with our “reformed” heritage.
- To define the Vision for how CEP is and can be serving PCA churches.
- To develop strategy to implement CEP’s vision for Christian Education.
- To communicate the role of CEP to the church at large.
- To coordinate any publications that may be needed by the staff and committee.
- To oversee PCA publications and make appropriate recommendations to the committee and assembly.
