PCA Historical Center announces a new daily devotional service on its website

Written by Staff | Sunday, January 1, 2012

Wayne Sparkman, the PCA Ruling Elder who serves as the Director of the PCA Historical Center, put the following announcement on his Facebook site on Saturday regarding ‘This Day in Presbyterian History’:

I’m very pleased to announce a new daily devotional — This Day in Presbyterian History — which will roll out on January 1, 2012. This blog format devotional will focus on Presbyterian history and will also provide a daily guide to reading through both the Scriptures and the Westminster Standards.

The entry for January 1st is already up online here: http://www.thisday.pcahistory.org/

New entries will post daily, so bookmark the site and visit often! Our prayer is that these materials will be of genuine use and even a painless way of learning some Presbyterian history.

This Day in Presbyterian History is the end result of a year-long effort, authored primarily by Rev. David T. Myers, a retired Army chaplain. The project is hosted on the web site of the PCAHistoricalCenter, and the content of the devotional will cut across the breadth of American Presbyterian history.
