As we learn more, we become more marketable. Maybe we learn programs others don’t. We acquire expertise in areas that set us apart.

In his book, So Good They Can’t Ignore You, Cal Newport writes on how to gain more control in your work, and thus enjoy the work you do more.

One thing he offers is, pushing yourself to learn new things related to your work.
