Longtime Columbia International University Professor Bill Larkin Called Home to Glory

Dr. Larkin passed away on Feb. 18, 2014 following a battle with cancer

Dr. Larkin taught for 38 years at CIU until his retirement in 2013. His life included a long list of accomplishments. He was a minister in the Presbyterian Church in America for most of his ministry, but joined the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church (ARP) in June 2013.

 

Longtime Columbia International University professor Dr. Bill Larkin passed away on Feb. 18, 2014 following a battle with cancer.

Dr. Larkin taught for 38 years at CIU until his retirement in 2013. His life included a long list of accomplishments. He was a minister in the Presbyterian Church in America, but joined the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church (ARP) in June 2013.

He joined the faculty of CIU after a year of pastoral ministry in Philadelphia and the completion of graduate studies in England. He authored or co-authored several books, including Bible commentaries. He was also a Visiting Professor of New Testament and Missions at Erskine Seminary in Due West, S.C.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 22 at First Presbyterian Church, 1324 Marion Street in Columbia, S.C. The family will receive friends following the service in Jackson Hall.
