Catawba Presbytery of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church has issued a Call for a Special Meeting of the Presbytery

Written by ARPNews | Tuesday, March 16, 2010

Place and time: Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 7 p.m. It will be held at the Union ARP Church in Richburg, SC.

The Moderator of the Presbytery has received resolutions from the Tirzah and First Lancaster Sessions requesting a called meeting of Presbytery for the purpose of communal prayer for the General Synod and Erskine College & Seminary issue, and the individuals involved.

The moderator has determined that in response to the requests contained in the resolutions for communal prayer, there will be a called meeting: Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 7 p.m. It will be held at the Union ARP Church in Richburg, SC.

There will be no roll call or business. The official record of the communal prayer meeting will be included in the next Minutes of Catawba Presbytery.

Official representatives, other session members and members of congregations are encouraged to participate in this special called meeting of Catawba Presbytery. Local churches are also encouraged to set times for communal prayer as well “for the General Synod, Erskine College & Seminary, and those individuals involved in the issue.”

David W. Setzer, moderator

Guy H. Smith, stated clerk/administrator
