PCA Cooperative Ministries Committee authorized Moderator to Appoint Sub-Committee on AC Funding

Written by byFaith | Tuesday, February 22, 2011

The CMC sub-committee will consider a number of possible plans and make a report to the January 2012 CMC meeting. Since any matters requiring Assembly action must be reported to the Assembly by an appropriate committee (RAO 7-3 c.), the 2012 CMC will make recommendations to the AC for Assembly action in 2012.

At its January 26 meeting, the Cooperative Ministries Committee (CMC) authorized Dr. Harry Reeder, moderator of the General Assembly and current moderator of the CMC, to appoint a sub-committee to consider alternative funding plans for the Administrative Committee (AC). The sub-committee will report to the January 2012 CMC meeting.

Reeder will chair the sub-committee; other members include:
• Ruling elder M. Ross Walters, chairman of PCA Retirement Benefits, Inc.
• Ruling elder Martin A. Moore, chairman if the board of Covenant College
• Ruling elder William B. French, chairman of the board of Covenant Theological Seminary
• Ruling elder E.J. Nusbaum, moderator of the 35th General Assembly
• Teaching elder Stephen Estock, chairman of the committee on Christian Education and Publications
• Ruling elder Niel Nielson, president of Covenant College
• Teaching elder Jack Howell, chairman of the Reformed University Ministries Committee
• Teaching elder David F. Coffin, Jr., Pastor of New Hope PCA, Fairfax, Va.
