Don’t consider the work you do everyday as without value. No one may appreciate you, but God sees and is pleased when we are faithful in our work. Our work is ultimately done for Him, and is among other good works He has made for us to do in His world, as His people.
For many of us, everyday work can seem like same old same old.
But for us as Christians, it shouldn’t, because it isn’t.
Instead, the work we do every day, no matter how common, ordinary, boring, or sometimes unsuccessful it is, it was and is ordained by God.
Your everyday work now is His will, and it pleases Him.
Yes, you may change jobs tomorrow, but today what you do is a good thing that pleases God.
This is explained in one of the Apostle Paul’s letters.
Writing about Christians whose faith is in Jesus Christ as a result of God’s grace, we’re also told, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” Ephesians 2:10.
Good works are not only helping a friend in need or praying or giving money to tell others about Jesus. Good works are anything that God tells us we are to do.
