Your Citizenship Isn’t In America

Your saviour won’t sit in the White House, he sits on the great white throne.

Written by Samuel Sey | Tuesday, November 17, 2020

So American Christians, if Joe Biden wins the election, do not grieve like those who have no hope in a saviour. And if Donald Trump wins the election, do not rejoice like those who have no hope in a saviour.

American Christians, the presidential election shouldn’t make you forget your election in Christ.

If you’re an American Christian, you might have been born by Americans, but you were born-again by God in heaven. If you’re an American Christian, you are a citizen of the greatest nation the world will ever know—and it’s not America.

The greatest nation the world will ever know isn’t shaped by Republicans, it’s shaped by our redeemer, Jesus Christ. This nation’s creed isn’t the Declaration of Independence. Their creed is their declaration of dependence on Christ.

They pursue much more than life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. They are marked by eternal life, liberty in Christ, and the pursuit of God forever.

Their citizenship is signed by the blood of Jesus Christ and sealed by the Holy Spirit. God calls them a holy nation, a people from all ethnicities for his own possession, a people who will dwell  with him in New Jerusalem forever.
