Media doesn’t inform anymore. It forms. It shapes fears, loyalties, enemies, and desires. Jesus confronted the father of lies: “When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies” (John 8:44 ESV). A people fed through deception will eventually lose the ability to discern anything at all.
As I scroll social media and witness the chaos—not just between ideological foes but between so-called friends—I’m beginning to realize people aren’t living in the same moral universe. While I’m slow to credit or blame the death of Charlie Kirk for anything, I’m recognizing how much of a peace-making role he played in so many arenas. But it doesn’t stop there. The fractures I’m seeing every day aren’t just relational or political. They’re spiritual.
People aren’t disagreeing over policies anymore.
They’re disagreeing over reality itself.
Two people can watch the same clip, the same conflict, the same cultural meltdown, and come away with two different worlds.
When a nation loses the ability to agree on what is true, the collapse is not theoretical. It’s inevitable.
And it’s happening right now.
America Is Breaking Because a New Religion Took Over
This is the part no political strategist wants to say.
America isn’t collapsing because of economics, elections, or demographics.
America is breaking because a new religion replaced the old one.
Every institution that once shaped stable citizens has been captured.
Every structure that once depended on transcendent truth now bows to self-expression.
Scripture warns what happens when truth is abandoned:
“Truth has stumbled in the public squares, and uprightness cannot enter.”
—Isaiah 59:14 (ESV)
We are living in that reality.
The Family: The First Institution to Fall
Long before the chaos hit our streets, it hit our homes.
You dismantle society by dismantling the family.
You dismantle the family by mocking marriage and fatherhood.
You dismantle the family by convincing women that career is identity and children are obstacles.
You dismantle the family by treating men as optional and boys as defective.
This wasn’t accidental. It was ideological.
God designed the family as the foundation of civilization:
“Honor your father and your mother.”
—Exodus 20:12 (ESV)
“Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.”
—Ephesians 6:4 (ESV)
The family is the first classroom of virtue.
Once it fractures, everything that follows begins to crack.
In the 1950s, children memorized the Ten Commandments. Today many memorize the Ten Genders.
That’s not progress. That’s apostasy.
The Church: When Discipleship Became Therapy
The Church should have been the last institution to fall.
Instead, it surrendered early.
We traded theology for thin emotionalism.
We replaced doctrine with self-help.
We replaced reverence with entertainment.
We replaced discipleship with brand-building.
Paul warned us:
“For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching.”
—2 Timothy 4:3 (ESV)
