Update on Pastor David Robertson, St. Peters Free Church in Dundee, Scotland

Written by Staff | Friday, December 2, 2011

Pastor Robertson, a friend to many and frequent speaker in the US, has been critically ill for many weeks. His wife Annabel shared this brief Facebook note of good news on Friday morning.

I am so overwhelmed with gratitude to God for hearing the pleas of many intercessions on behalf of David Andrew Robertson.

David has made good progress this week, in spite of another major setback last Thursday. He is in the High Dependency Unit now and breathing on his own without oxygen!

He was assisted with an electronic hoist to take 5 steps to…day and had to go back to bed after doing that, due to utter exhaustion. He drank 3 half glasses of water throughout the day (He is still getting fed via his vein).

His voice is getting stronger each day. Becky Millburn, Emma-Jane Robertson and I had a lovely visit with him this evening before I took Becky to Edinburgh to head back to her lovely husband in Australia.

I often wake up and the words from psalm 27 are strongly in my mind and continue with me throughout the day.. ” The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? the Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?… I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage : wait for the Lord! “
