Rev. Bill Lyle of Marco Presbyterian Church will give the message, “The King Lives … and it isn’t Elvis.”
The 22nd annual Easter Sunrise Service on the Beach will be held at 7 a.m. Sunday between the Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort, 400 S. Collier Blvd., and the Madeira Condominium.
If the weather is agreeable, organizers said they expect 6,000 to 8,000 attendees.
Last year, more than 6,000 attended the service.
Scores of boats usually anchor at the shoreline to hear the music and message.
The family friendly, multidenominational service will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ with music, scripture, prayer, praise and a brief message. The prelude will begin at 6:45 a.m.
