The Omnipresence of God

God is everywhere, all the time, in all of His wondrous being!

Written by Geoffrey R. Kirkland | Wednesday, July 16, 2025

God fully attends to and watches over all the billions of people at the exact same time. Not only does He watch all people, He is fully present with everyone—not even to mention God’s full presence in the depths and in the heights and in the impossible to get to places of this creation.

The OMNIPRESENCE of God means that God is fully and truly present in all of His being in every place. All of God permeates everywhere. In every place, at all times, at all locations in all of space God’s being is fully there. Quite simply, God is there everywhere.

Proverbs 15.3 says the “eyes of the LORD are in every place keeping watch over the evil and the good.” Or, can anyone hide himself so that God does not see him? Indeed God fills the heavens and the earth (Jeremiah 23.24). The psalmist extolled that if he goes to the heavens, God is there, and if he goes to Sheol even God is there (Psalm 139.8). How marvelous to think of the expansiveness, the exhaustiveness, the extremities, and the encompassing nature of God’s perfect Being.  God is everywhere, all the time, in all of His wondrous being!

Consider for a moment this reality about God’s omnipresence. God is present everywhere in the fullness of His attributes. All of God’s being is with you right here today. God is present with you to protect you, defend you, show grace to you, strengthen you, and conform you to Christ. God is present everywhere, at the [same] time, perfectly. God has no limitations to his omnipresence.
