Reclaim Biblical Teaching campaign launches new Web site

Written by The Layman | Friday, December 3, 2010

In addition to preparing Presbyterians for debates on votes on constitutional proposals from the 219th PCUSA General Assembly, the campaign also encourages prayer, connectionalism and financially supporting the effort

In support of its Reclaim Biblical Teaching campaign, Presbyterian Renewal Network has launched a new Web site as voting on several key issues in the Presbyterian Church (USA) is now in full swing.

Previously housed on the Presbyterian Coalition’s Web site, the campaign’s resources now can be accessed at www.reclaimbiblicalteaching.org. The site offers background on the campaign, vote tracking, contact information for its regional directors and a wealth of information to equip those facing issues such as ordination standards (Amendment 10-A), adding the Belhar Confession to the Book of Confessions (Amendment 10-2) and the PCUSA’s proposed new Form of Government (Amendment 10-1).

“The campaign seeks the restoration of a commitment to Biblical truth in the PCUSA: believing it and living it out,” the Web site states. “Facing the challenges of further denigration of the documents that define us, we recognize the importance of resisting harmful change by our votes. But voting is only one way of acting faithfully and restoratively as a community within the larger community.”

In addition to preparing Presbyterians for debates on votes on constitutional proposals from the 219th General Assembly, the campaign also encourages prayer, connectionalism and financially supporting the effort. Among the features on the site is an online contribution page that uses PayPal and accepts credit cards.
