Presbytery News: PCA Houston Metro

Recent Ministerial changes in Houston Metro Presbytery, PCA include Bill Combs, Robert Cook, Dennis Hermerding, Kyle Bobos, and Nat Davidson.

TE Bill Combs has retired after serving 23 years as the pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Webster, Texas. Combs, a 1970 graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary (back in the day when it was only in Jackson, Mississippi). He moves to Honorably Retired status with the Presbytery and will remain in South Texas.

TE Robert Cook, a 2002 graduate of Covenant Seminary who had served as Assistant/Associate Pastor of Christ the King Presbyterian Church in Houston has moved to Nashville, Tennessee to become an Associate Pastor of West End Community Church, where he is overseeing discipleship ministries.

TE Dennis Hermerding, an RTS 01 grad and the startup RUF campus minister at the University of Arizona from 2001 to 2005 and pastor of the Desert Springs Church in Tucson, has moved to Spring, Texas and is now serving as the Assistant Pastor of Spring Cypress Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Kyle Bobos ordained and installed as Assistant Pastor (Youth) of Grace Presbyterian Church, The Woodlands, TX. Kyle attended Covenant College and is a 2008 graduate of Covenant Seminary.

Mr. Nat Davidson completed ordination exams and is scheduled to be ordained and installed on Sept. 27, 2009 as Assistant Pastor (Youth) of Bay Area Presbyterian Church, Webster, TX. Nat attended the University of Maryland and RTS-Charlotte.
