We must lean on our strong God. Our weakness should cause us to lift up our eyes and stretch out our hands. We say with the Psalmist, “Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maidservant to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, till he has mercy upon us” (Psalm 123:2).
God chose what is weak…
1 Corinthians 1:27
God chooses the weak. It’s a prerequisite to being used by God. God loves to take someone weak and to work mightily through him. God loves to show how His power is perfected in weakness. He loves to make it clear that His grace is sufficient (2 Cor 12:9).
Think about Moses. God chose a man with a slow tongue to speak to kings. Think about David. God chose a young, musical shepherd to slay the Philistine’s champion. What about Gideon? God chose a man from a weak family hiding in a winepress to deliver the people of Israel. What about his army? Three hundred men who lapped up water like a dog to defeat an army of thousands. God chose what is weak to shame the strong.
