Pensacola Institute Conference Will be Streamed Live June 16-18, 2021

Theme: One Voice: The Word of God, the Love of Christ, and Human Sexuality

Written by Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals | Tuesday, June 15, 2021

The 2021 Pensacola Theological Institute conference, One Voice: The Word of God, the Love of Christ, and Human Sexuality, begins on Wednesday, June 16, in Pensacola, Florida. Due to the critical nature of this topic in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals and our partners at McIlwain Presbyterian Church are excited to announce that we will be making a free livestream available for those who are unable to make it in person! Watch it live or later!

This is an outstanding opportunity to hear speakers Jon Payne and Richard Phillip examine both the “Revoice” controversy within the denomination of the PCA and the broader issue of sexual identity and purity within the church. Our desire is that lay Christians may understand what is happening in the church and be equipped to speak with “one voice” to our culture.

Speakers:

Jon Payne is senior pastor of Christ Church Presbyterian (PCA) in Charleston, South Carolina. He is the executive coordinator of the Gospel Reformation Network and serves as a trustee with the Banner of Truth Trust and the Heidelberger Society. Jon is the author and editor of numerous books and has contributed to many publications and websites including reformation21.

Richard Phillips is senior minister of the historic Second Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Greenville, South Carolina. He has authored many books and frequently speaks at conferences on the Bible and Reformed theology. He is the chairman of the Philadelphia Conference on Reformed Theology and co-editor of the Reformed Expository Commentary series (P&R). An adjunct professor at Westminster Theological Seminary where he serves on the board of trustees. Rick serves also on the board of directors of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals.
