The Mission to North America (MNA) assessment team has just returned from Haiti. They have put together a strategic process of response in Haiti:
1. prepare base of operations
2. shipping of materials for preparing the facilities
3. mobilizing of teams from two presbyteries with experience in establishing dtaging facilities – Ohio and Tennessee Valley Presbyteries (to prepare facilities for future volunteer teams)
4. continue to send medical teams as space and travel allows
However, in order to begin the process of building repairs to establish the base of operations (staging facilities) and to repair the homes of our MNA staff in Haiti we are in URGENT need of any structural engineers or diagnostic engineers If that is you or you have a connection to recruit someone, please let us know asap. Arklie Hooken, the Team Coordinator would like to assemble these folks to go into Haiti for a few days, leaving either THIS FRIDAY OR THE FOLLOWING MONDAY!! The need is urgent and we need to move quickly.
Prayer requests for this situation would include the following:
1. wisdom in preparations
2. God’s provision in funds and materials to prepare the facilites
3. health, safety, travel mercies for all involved in this response
