Mission to North America Events at the PCA 38th General Assembly

Written by Staff | Wednesday, April 28, 2010

If you will be attending the Presbyterian Church in America General Assembly the last week of June in Nashville, you will find several special events here that might be of interest to you.

ESL Teacher and Director Training – June 28-29
MNA English as a Second Language is offering 2 kinds of ESL Ministry Training just prior to General Assembly. The full ESL Teacher Training session and a shorter training session for those who just want to learn more about ESL Ministry. This training will also cover the basics of how to start an ESL Ministry. Click here for more information and to register. Or contact Nancy Booher at [email protected].

Pre-Assembly Prayer Meeting 12:45 pm – 1:45 pm on Tuesday, June 29.
This hour of prayer is open to all Assembly attendees. Join us for this important time of seeking and affirming God’s purposes for General Assembly. (Location will be posted at the check in desk.)

(To register for either of the following meals, use the link at the bottom of this page.)

MNA Chaplain Ministries Breakfast, 6:30 – 7:50 am on Wednesday, June 30.
Our PCA Chaplains serve soldiers, Marines, sailors and airmen in time of war, as well as civilian patients and prisoners in hospitals, hospice, retirement communities and corrections facilities. You are invited to join us for breakfast and hear stories and testimonies of God’s work through our Chaplains. (This is always a tough ticket to get at the GA.)

MNA Church Planting Luncheon, 12:00 – 1:20 pm on Wednesday, June 30
The vision of MNA is to see a grassroots church planting culture emerge in the PCA. Come hear Pastor Dick Kaufmann, senior pastor of Harbor Presbyterian church, as he discusses the practical steps taken by Harbor Presbyterian to become a church planting church.
