Mike Milton, Chancellor Elect for Reformed Theological Seminary, now on national TV each Sunday morning

Written by Staff | Wednesday, November 2, 2011

“Is there anything Michael Milton can’t do? He’s written numerous books, leads the Reformed Theological Seminary, and hosts a Bible study program on DIRECTV. And he has now released three CDs of plaintive spiritual folk that are musically opulent and emotionally stirring.” – Robert Ham, Christianity Today.

Dr. Michael Milton is extending his reach to the United States through Legacy TV, beginning November 6. Faith for Living with Michael Milton, an outreach ministry of Reformed Theological Seminary, will broadcast on Sunday morning at 7:00 a.m. on 212 affiliates of Legacy TV. See the specific affiliates broadcasting this television program here.

Faith For Living is the national Bible teaching television and radio program that Milton hosts. It is also broadcast on the NRB television network (DirecTV channel 378) and on several radio stations in the southeast. Watch live on the internet at legacytv.tv Sundays at 7:00 a.m. Watch online archived broadcasts at FaithForLivingTV.com, and iTunes. Listen to archived broadcasts on sermonaudio.com. Learn more about Faith For Living here.

Milton is the former pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga, Tenn. He was called to RTS as president of the Charlotte campus(inaugurated in 2008). Most recently, he was elected chancellor for the RTS system and will assume official duties in June 2012. Milton’s inauguration will take place at Church of the Apostles, in Atlanta, on September 14, 2012.

Dr. Milton is an author of several books and numerous booklets. His latest book, Songs in the Night, a collection of warm, pastoral messages, filled with personal illustration, that helps the broken-hearted Christian to locate the God of all comfort in the center of all pain, will be released in November. His booklet What is the Doctrine of Adoption?(P&R), part of the Basics of the Faith Series and his Hit by Friendly Fire booklet (now expanded into a book) (EP Press) will now be published in January 2012.

With a Ph.D. from the University of Wales, Milton also holds multiple degrees from Knox Theological Seminary, MidAmerica Nazarene University and the Defense Language Institute. He also currently serves as professor of pastoral theology on the Charlotte campus of Reformed Theological Seminary.

Also a songwriter and singer, Milton just released his third album titled Through the Open Door. Tina Leonard at Higher Rock Music reviewed it by calling the words and music, “…inspiring and provoking…” and surmised, “you will never stop listening to this CD.”

For 16 years Milton served in the business world and has served as a top-secret Navy linguist. He is a chaplain in the U.S. Army Reserve and an instructor at the Armed Forces Chaplain School. He was recently appointed to the College of Military Preachers.
