Faithfulness is not always measured by movement. Sometimes it is marked by restraint, patience, and trust when clarity has not yet arrived.
We can feel stalled when doors close without explanation.
“And they went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia.” (Acts 16:6, ESV)
Paul’s plans were sensible and strategic, yet they were interrupted. He was not permitted to go where he intended, nor where he tried next. Scripture offers no detail about how the Spirit stopped him, only that He did.
This can be one of the more difficult forms of guidance to accept. There is no alternative laid out, only restraint. Waiting replaces momentum. Silence replaces clarity.
