In my early years as a young minister, my prayer was to be a good husband, a good father, and a good minister. I made plenty of mistakes, but I knew my identity.
A lot of controversy has surrounded identity in recent years.
For you and me, there is an identity we have as a Christian or a child of God.
More specifically, we have identity in callings and responsibilities.
In Luke 4, Jesus Christ in the synagogue in His hometown of Nazareth, read from Isaiah.
He read about the coming Messiah and announced the day had arrived and He was the Messiah (Luke 4: 14-21).
