Think about it; the Bible is full of encouragement; it’s full of motivation. Motivation to obey the Lord and be blessed. Motivation to believe the promises of God because they are true. Motivation to go forward and not be afraid because God is with us.

Some people make fun of those who listen to or read motivational material.

Critics say, motivation doesn’t last; we have to get it again and again.

Zig Ziglar’s response to this was, “People often say motivation doesn’t last. Neither does bathing –that’s why we recommend it daily.”

Christians should be the last people to criticize motivational material.

If the motivation is based on things that aren’t true, then of course it is to be rejected.

But good motivational material is just another word for encouragement.
