Getting Ahead of Black Friday – PCA bookstore goes for “36% off in 36 hours”

Written by Staff | Wednesday, November 17, 2010

The PCA Bookstore, which is operated by the Christian Education and Publications Committee of the PCA, is getting the jump on “Black Friday” and rivaling discounts on books sold by the large online retailers.

CEP is running a “36% off for 36 hours” sale for the second time in 2010. The sale began at noon on Wednesday, November 17th and will continue ‘til midnight Thursday, November 18th (eastern time).

Bookstore Manager, Tim Schirm, says “our books are always discounted and [deeply] discounted for larger quantities purchased—like for church groups and such. This type of sale is intended to encourage individual readers to try us out during the holiday season.”

People often ask if buying books from CEP’s bookstore helps fund their ministry. Schirm states, “Yes it does in a small but meaningful way. Since the margins are so small, it only helps cover some of the general overhead expenses but—more than that—it’s a way for us to partner with churches and people who share our commitment to the Reformed faith, serve them, and see the Kingdom grow.”

The PCA Bookstore offers the kind of well informed, theological astute personal service you can’t get from the sometimes-less expensive online booksellers. The staff is available each business day to assist and give knowledgeable recommendations on books, studies and curriculum. Call 1-800-283-1357 for personal assistance.

Visit www.cepbookstore.com between now and midnight Thursday to take advantage of the special sale.
