Frank Brock to Retire: Marc Erickson Named Executive Director of Covenant College Foundation

Written by Covenant Online News | Tuesday, September 7, 2010

Erickson graduated from Covenant in 1992 with a B.A. in business administration. He is a Ruling Elder at Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church (PCA).

Marc Erickson has been named executive director of the Covenant College Foundation and director of planned giving. He will continue the work of Frank Brock, who retires as president of the foundation at the end of 2010.

Bruce Williams, chairman of the advancement committee of Covenant’s board of trustees and chairman of the board for the Covenant College Foundation, feels that Erickson stood out immediately among the many candidates.

“He can tell you directly how Covenant impacted him and his family. He understands the uniqueness of Covenant and its mission, the impact it has on lives and the role it can play in God’s kingdom.”

By providing a steady flow of funds, the Covenant College Foundation supports the school’s future.

“It provides a backbone of support that can stabilize the College during rough times and propel its progress in normal times,” says Williams. “Marc’s role is going to be to come in and develop relationships with people around the country. He’ll tell the story of Covenant in a winsome way so others come to understand the uniqueness of this place and how it can be a valuable place to invest their resources, their time and talents.”

“I hope to build on the foundation laid by Frank Brock,” says Erickson, “and pursue the vision set forward by President Nielson and Covenant’s board of trustees.”

Erickson graduated from Covenant in 1992 with a B.A. in business administration. He brings with him over a decade of experience managing a large portfolio of clients in the insurance industry. He and his wife are members of Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church, where he serves as an elder.
