I also thought Moo and Bauckham should have answered why they believed certain scientists over others. Bauckham dismissed Beisner’s references to other Scientists as practicing pseudo-science. I think this is an unfair, unwarranted, and unproven accusation. If Moo and Bauckham make an argument in the fields of Old or New Testament or Theology, they expect grace from those who read their writings; however, these men did not show grace to the so-called minority Scientists who disagree that global warming is a coming crisis if humans do not make some serious changes.

Calvin Beisner, Richard Bauckham, Russell Moore, and Douglas Moo spoke on the issue of Creation Care. You can find their lectures here: 1) E. In the panel discussion, I thought Bauckham misrepresented Beisner. I also thought Moo and Bauckham should have answered why they believed certain scientists over others. Bauckham dismissed Beisner’s references to other Scientists as practicing pseudo-science. I think this is an unfair, unwarranted, and unproven accusation. If Moo and Bauckham make an argument in the fields of Old or New Testament or Theology, they expect grace from those who read their writings; however, these men did not show grace to the so-called minority Scientists who disagree that global warming is a coming crisis if humans do not make some serious changes. Their negative example encourages me to do a better job in trying to understand those I disagree with. I should seriously consider the claims of others instead of dismissing their arguments just because they may affirm a minority position. Remember Martin Luther.
