Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church Names New Lead Pastor

Rob Pacienza has been chosen as the new lead pastor of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. The Fort Lauderdale congregation has more than 1,200 members.

Written by Mike Clary | Wednesday, March 16, 2016

“After a comprehensive and exhaustive search, we are pleased to announce that we found the best candidate right underneath our noses,” said Rod Hayes, chairman of the search committee. “Rob brings a unique mix of appreciation for the history and tradition of Coral Ridge as well as a burning desire to capture the hearts of our city of Fort Lauderdale with the gospel of Jesus Christ.”

After a national search for a new lead pastor, Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church on Sunday named executive pastor Rob Pacienza to the post.

Pacienza succeeds Tullian Tchividjian, the grandson of evangelist Billy Graham, who resigned in June after admitting to an extramarital affair.

More than 60 candidates were interviewed for the job before Pacienza was chosen, according to a statement from the church.
