Conference on The Lord’s Supper Scheduled for February 4-5, 2010

Written by Staff | Friday, January 22, 2010

The Institute for Reformed Worship at Erskine Theological Seminary, in cooperation with the Independent Presbyterian Church in Savannah, will hold a special conference on February 4-5, 2010 dealing with “The Lord’s Supper in Reformed Faith and Worship.”

The Institute Director and Professor of Practical Theology at Erskine, Dr. Hughes Oliphant Old, will give three lectures dealing with Calvin and Knox on the doctrine and administration of the Lord’s Supper. There will also be presentations from Dr. Terry Johnson and Ron Parrish from Independent Presbyterian Church.

Cost for the seminar is $75. A special conference rate of $119 per night is available at the Hyatt Regency Savannah hotel, located in Savannah’s historic district. The worship on the Lord’s Day, February 6, will include the administration of the Lord’s Supper around the old communion tables still in use at Independent Presbyterian Church.
