God will help us through the rough spots of life as well, but our confidence is not in our ability to hold on to Him but in the fact that He is holding on to us.

“….You have taken hold of my right hand, with Your counsel You will guide me, and afterward receive me to glory” (Psalm 73:23b, 24).

Are you familiar with the story Asaph in Psalm 73?

He was about to tell God’s people that being one of His people wasn’t all that special.

There were those who ignored God and had it good, but Asaph was trying to be faithful and yet going through rough times. You probably have had the same experience.

God straightened out Asaph’s thinking and he realized what a favored position he was in.
