Changes to our Website Design – more story headlines on every page!

Written by Don K. Clements | Sunday, June 27, 2010

n anticipation of a major increase in stories this coming week from the PCA General Assembly and in keeping with the growth of both news being provided and readers coming to read that news, The Aquila Report has expanded the size of its pages.

As some may have already noticed, we now feature headlines and teases for 30 stories on the front page, an increase from our former 20 stories.

And in each section of the magazine, we now have 20 headlines and teases of stories, an increase from our former 10.

There is a possible downside to this change. It means that it will take a little more time for each page to load in your browser. We believe that for most of our readers, your processor is already fast enough to handle this without excessive delay. However, we do want feedback from those that find this to be a serious problem so we can measure the value of the change. Send your comments to me at [email protected].

For the rest of you, this means more than anything else that if you do not visit for 3 or 4 days you can still find recent, important stories on the front page. We will seek to increase our daily postings from an average of 5 each day to an average of 7 each day (even after the PCA General Assembly is over). By the way, while we are seeking to assist our infrequent visitors, we are by no means seeking to discourage our faithful DAILY viewers!

Also, please be on the lookout for an exciting announcement concerning a change in the business model of The Aquila Report. We will be breaking the news while we are at the General Assembly. This is a change that will undoubtedly increase our ability to get many more timely and original news stories to our readers.
