The Creation Museum has a new exhibit that aims to debunk the evolutionary theory that an “ape-man” or apelike creature existed. Willow Creek Splits with Exodus International – Decision is among a series of departures for ex-gay organization.

Written by Chris Norton, Christianity Today | Friday, July 22, 2011

“I really do think decisions like this, ultimately, highlight a reticence in the church to stand up for biblical truth, and they’re coming at a time when we’re going to have to stand up for what we believe. I think there’s a way to stand up. We have to find that way.” Willow Creek Community... Continue Reading

Written by ARP News Service | Thursday, July 21, 2011

“So far there are only two things that will take time to get used to—the humidity, and, as a bow hunter, the tiny deer compared to the big grain-fed deer of Kansas!” There’s one thing Erskine’s new Vice President for Advancement David Earl can say with certainty: he’s not in Kansas anymore. At least he’s... Continue Reading

The Most Risky Profession – Why you need to pray desperately for your pastor.

Written by Mark Galli, CT | Wednesday, July 20, 2011

Thus, preaching in the modern church has devolved into the pastor telling stories from his own life. The sermon is still grounded in some biblical text, and there is an attempt to articulate what that text means today. But more and more, pastors begin their sermons and illustrate their points repeatedly from their own lives.... Continue Reading

Written by Lance Lewis, byFaith | Friday, July 15, 2011

Can we look forward to a day in our society when we can truly say that there is no black church, white church, etc.? I believe we can, but only if we’re willing to admit that Sunday morning is not “the most segregated day of the week” as much as it is simply a reflection... Continue Reading
