Rise up, men of God. Stop bowing to the idols of this age. Stop waiting for safer times. The time is now. The fight is here. Babylon will fall. Christ will reign.
Our culture is Babylon.
Politicians demand allegiance.
Schools bow to idols.
Corporations threaten dissenters.
And just like Babylon, the order is simple: Bow or burn.
Now picture Daniel. An exile. A foreigner. A man who could have blended in, kept quiet, and played it safe. Instead, he stood when others bowed, prayed when others hid, and spoke when silence would have been safer. Daniel didn’t just survive Babylon—he thrived in it.
The same question hangs over us: Will you bow, or will you stand?
Daniel Stood When Others Bowed
Daniel wasn’t fearless because he was reckless. He was fearless because he feared God more than men.
- “But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king’s food, or with the wine that he drank.” (Daniel 1:8)
- “When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously.” (Daniel 6:10)
- “Daniel answered the king and said, ‘No wise men, enchanters, magicians, or astrologers can show to the king the mystery that the king has asked, but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries.’” (Daniel 2:27–28)
The Puritan Richard Baxter once warned, “Resolve to be holy, and to make it your business, your work, and your life; and be sure that holiness will cost you as dear as all that you have in the world.”
Daniel lived that truth. Holiness wasn’t a hobby; it was his lifeblood.
Daniel proves that holiness and boldness aren’t enemies—they’re twins. A man who fears God can walk into a den of lions and leave untouched.
The Crisis Isn’t the Wicked—It’s the Silent
Let’s be honest: our culture is not collapsing because the wicked are too bold. It’s collapsing because too many righteous men are too silent.
