Go ahead, be ambitious in all things good and lawful, and all the while you are, be content at the same time for all the blessings God has given you in the present.
Ambition is something to which some Christians assign a negative intention.
The thought goes: “If you are ambitious, you must be money or power hungry and you are not content.”
Was King David sinfully power hungry when he consolidated his power for God’s glory and the benefit of Israel, over which he was King?
“No.”
Was Abraham sinfully money hungry as he worked hard and faithfully, and God blessed his labors so that he became very wealthy?
“No.”
Did either of them complain about lack of power or money?
“No.”
