I am writing to you to express my grave concern regarding your recent comments on a local talk show. When asked if you supported Delegate Kathy Tran’s HB 2491 bill, which loosens the restrictions on third-trimester abortions, you unashamedly said, “The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired.”
Governor Northam:
For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well. As a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and a Virginia constituent, I am writing to you to express my grave concern regarding your recent comments on a local talk show. When asked if you supported Delegate Kathy Tran’s HB 2491 bill, which loosens the restrictions on third-trimester abortions, you unashamedly said, “The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired.”
Let me remind you, Governor Northam, that one of your duties as Governor of Virginia is to uphold justice for the unborn citizens of this state. I do not pretend to write this to you as a neutral party. I unapologetically write to you as a Christian who abhors injustice and murder as all men are created in the image of God (Genesis 9:6). I am well aware that the United States of America has long forgotten its Christian roots and has turned to worship the god of secular Humanism. It would be incorrect to say the American Holocaust will invoke God’s wrath. Rather, it is God’s wrath upon America. We as a people have exchanged the truth for a lie and are now reaping the consequences of a darkened mind (Romans 1). God makes it absolutely clear in Proverbs 8:36 that “he who sins against me injures himself; All those who hate me love death.”
Since the beginning of the American Holocaust in 1973, over 60,000,000 babies have been murdered in the name of convenience and choice. The blood of those children covers the hands of all who uphold such wickedness. As a servant of Christ, the King and Sovereign of all nations, rulers, and inhabitants of the earth, it is my duty to speak out on behalf of the voiceless (Proverbs 31:8). As a minister of God, it is your duty to praise what is good and be a terror to what is evil (Romans 13). It’s quite clear by your statement that you, along with the vast majority of civil magistrates in America, praise what is evil and terrorize what is good. I urge you to repent of such wickedness. You must kiss the Son, lest he be angry (Psalm 2). I beg you repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. To quote Acts 4:12, “There is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”
On July 4, 1776, a declaration was signed unanimously by the thirteen United States of America. In that declaration, the signers acknowledged, “we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” I incline you to fight for the rights of Virginia’s unborn citizens with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence. Give them opportunity for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
