Madison, Miss., police confirmed the body discovered Tuesday afternoon is that of Abigail Bonner, who was reported missing on Aug. 3.
Shortly after 9 a.m. today, Abigail’s uncle updated the Facebook page, Looking for Abigail.
“Please pray for the peace of God that surpasses all understanding for Lance and Rachel and all of the children,” he said.
“Abigail loved Christ with all her heart, and we know that she is with Him now. While we are left here in grief and sorrow, we cling to Christ’s promises that Abigail is now where He has wiped away every tear and where there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain.”
The body was discovered by a Madison County police, according to a release from the Madison Police Department.

Multiple sources have confirmed authorities suspect the body found near a Madison school is that of a teenager missing for more than a week.
Abigail Grace Bonner, 17, has been missing since Aug. 3, sparking a social media campaign by her family to determine her whereabouts.
Madison County Coroner Alex Breeland would not confirm it was Bonner nor release any identifying information or cause of death pending an autopsy.
A press release issued by the Madison Police Department issued Tuesday night stated the body appeared to be that of a female. Other details weren’t discussed, and a positive identification will come after an autopsy at the state medical examiner’s office, the release stated.
Officials working the investigation believe they likely have found Bonner, according to several sources speaking on condition of anonymity since they were not authorized to comment on the ongoing investigation.
