PCA minister, Robert G. Sweet, 78, of Hoschton, Ga., died January 9, 2010, from a head injury as a result of a fall on the ice. The funeral service was held on January 11 at Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife Shirley and three children.

Sweet graduated from Reformed Seminary in Jackson in 1973 and then served a number of churches, including Brandon PCA in Brandon, Miss., and Trinity PCA in Asheville, N.C. He also served as editor of the PCA Messenger magazine from 1989-1994.
