For two weeks in May, more than 2,000 students, staff, and family members representing 95 colleges and universities participated in the Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) Summer Conference in Laguna Beach, Fla.—a 30 percent increase in attendance over the last three years.
“There seemed to be a much larger and more diverse group [this year],” observed Ian Wilder, a student at Western Kentucky University. Summer Conference director Ben Hailey, who serves as RUF campus minister at Texas A&M, agreed. “What stuck out to me was the sheer volume of participants.”

In addition to solid teaching, students enjoyed worship led by members of the Vanderbilt and Jackson State RUF chapters during the first week, and Kevin Twit with Belmont’s worship team during the second. In each of the two weeks, students also participated in seminars on subjects like relationships and dating, anxiety and depression, biblical reliability, and prayer.
