“Conversations on Multi Ethnic Ministry” is sponsored by the Reconciliation & Justice Network, a grassroots group in the PCA seeking to cast theological vision for the church to understand and embrace reconciliation and justice as core elements of the Gospel of the Kingdom. An important goal for this gathering is to connect PCA leaders interested in the discussion of multi ethnic, cross-cultural ministry.
Hosted by the Reconciliation and Justice Network, the ‘Conversations’ will be held in the Marriott Downtown Louisville on the Monday evening and Tuesday morning preceding the Assembly.
The goal of “Conversations on Multi Ethnic Ministry” is to fan the growing conversation about multi ethnic, cross-cultural ministry in the PCA. This gathering is not merely meant for those who have been a part of this conversation for some time, but also for those who want to join in or those who are concerned or simply curious.
This conversation is not driven by any form of political correctness. It is not about “the latest thing” some churches are doing. It is not about how the changing demographics in our communities “demand” that we be cross-cultural. Rather, it is a conversation asking the question, “What do the Scriptures say?” It is also a conversation generated by the stories of some who have wrestled with this question.
The events begin at 7:00PM on Monday evening with an intrododuction and talk in the biblical imperative for multi-ethnic ministry led by PCA Teching Elder Jonathan Seda, followed by round-table discussion and refreshment. Seda is Senior Pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church, Dover, Delaware
On Tuesday morning at 9:00AM PCA Teaching Elder Lance Lewis will present the topic ‘Embracing the vision of the multi-ethnic church and how ‘CLF’ crew to where it is today, again followed by round table discussions and refreshments.
