Recent storms have left catastrophic damage all across the southern and southeastern US. The PCA’s Mission to North America Disaster Response continues working with churches in the affected areas to help assess damages and determine how best to utilize volunteers. From preliminary reports we anticipate there will be major financial and physical needs.
Here’s how you can help:
PRAY: Please pray specifically for all those who have been affected by these storms. Many families have lost loved ones, and the material devastation is enormous. Please pray that the love of God will be of great comfort during this very difficult time. Pray also for the volunteers who will serve. Pray for their availability, travel mercies and strength to serve. Pray that the love of Jesus will be evident in their work for others. Pray most of all that the Lord will be glorified and the Gospel proclaimed through this ministry.
DONATE: Please prayerfully consider a financial contribution to tornado recovery. Donations will be directed to the areas of greatest need, currently Chattanooga TN, Birmingham AL, Tuscaloosa AL and Jackson MS. You may click here to make a secure, online donation to the 2011 Southeast Tornado Fund. You may also mail checks made payable to MNA and designated for this fund to 1700 North Brown Road, Suite 101, Lawrenceville GA 30043.
