A RankinCounty attorney, a member of Brandon Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Brandon, Miss., announced January 4 that he had qualified to run for circuit judge in Rankin and Madison counties.
Craig Brasfield is seeking the 20th District Circuit Court judge seat, Place 1.
The position is currently held by Judge Samac Richardson, who has not announced his plans.
Brasfield is currently a partner at Forman Perry Watkins Krutz & Tardy LLP. He has more than 25 years of legal experience, which includes serving as deputy city attorney for the city of Jackson and as a special assistant attorney general.
