Editor’s Note: Many of our readers have been asking for an update on ‘Simi’ Goodwin’s condition (read original story). Here is the sad news taken from the Caring Bridge website. Friday Noon Update: Details on memorial gifts
Update Fri Noon: Here is information on memorial gifts:
Memorials may be made to Mission to the World, Retired Missionary Fund Acct# 98601, P.O. Box 116284, Atlanta, GA 30368-6284 or Happy Wheels Columbia, 133 Dupre Mill Court, Lexington, SC 29072.
Original Story follows:
This morning (Wed) our dear, little Simi went to be with her Savior at 8:55am (7/13) this morning. By God’s grace she was allowed to remain with us through Tuesday so that we could celebrate Katie’s 5th birthday, the members of the family could come say their goodbyes, and we could hold her for her final hours.
She quietly sighed as she left her Daddy’s arms for the arms of her Father in heaven. Although we grieve the loss of our dear daughter, we give thanks that she is with her Savior, is no longer suffering, and is reveling in the presence of the One Who loves her even more that we do.
Thank you for all of your many prayers, and we continue to covet your prayers as we make this journey through grieving the loss of our daughter.
This Saturday (7/16) we will be
– Receiving visitors from 12:30-4:30 followed by a
– Memorial service at 5pm
All this will be at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 6952 St. Andrews Rd, Columbia, SC 29212.
We would welcome your coming and giving us the opportunity to meet at least a few of you who have prayed and wept and journeyed with us.
All of Christ’s blessings,
Sam and Elizabeth Goodwin
PS: We will be sending out a post tomorrow regarding memorial gifts in lieu of flowers.
