Jamison Godwin, 3-year-old son of TE Jeff Godwin, pastor of Northside PCA in Melbourne, Fla., almost drowned in a hotel pool in Virginia Beach on Thursday, June 9. Godwin brought his family with him to the PCA General Assembly.

Friday 5:00PM update: We are pleased to report that 3-year-old Jamison Godwin was released from the hospital Friday afternoon. The doctors indicated that there are no apparent adverse effects from his drowning incident. Thank you for praying for him and his family.

Earlier reports follow:

Jamison was rushed to King’s Daughter Hospital in Norfolk where he is being treated in the emergency room. He is on oxygen and under observation for the next 24 hours.

9:30PM Thursday update. Jamison was successfully resuscitated and appears to be doing better, with hopes of discharge from the hospital on Saturday.
