Pastors! The Reformed Congregational Fellowship will be hosting its Twelfth Annual RCF Pastors’ Conference on April 17-19 at the Wonderland Conference Center, 10 Capen Hill Road in Sharon, MA.
Have you ever been asked something along these lines: “Pastor, am I saved? I thought I was, but now I’m not so sure . . .”? What a vital shepherding opportunity! How will you respond? The counsel you give will create either comfort or concern in the one who doubts his or her place among God’s people. How does one obtain assurance? And once gained, how does one rest in the certainty of salvation? On the other hand, what needs to be said to those who think themselves secure but show little evidence of true faith? Six presentations by colleagues serving in the pastorate will center on these vital and practical concerns.
- “Assurance of Grace and Salvation at End of Life”, by Christopher Bogosh.
- “Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners: John Bunyan’s Pilgrimage to Assurance of Salvation”, by Bob Hall
- “Spiritual Union and Assurance”, by Kirk van der Swaagh
- “Dark Nights of the Soul: Waiting Long in Assurance”, by Tim Broberg
- “Assurance and Friendship”, by David Green
- “Be Even More Diligent To Make Your Call and Election Sure”, by Paul Wanamaker
The RCF Pastors’ Conference is chiefly one of on-going education for pastors, in this case the doctrines of grace as they are expressed in the Savoy Declaration. If pastors are to reinforce these truths in their congregations, then they must first be grounded in them, which has always been the goal of the RCF. We also encourage pastors to bring others in their congregations who want to delve more deeply into biblical truth in an intimate and interactive learning environment.
Please email ([email protected]), or phone (508-285-5525) to obtain further conference details including lodging and registration instructions. Also, if you know of pastors, church leaders, or others who you think would benefit from this unique learning experience, please forward their email addresses to the above address.
