Transition Plans Underway at MTW: New Coordinator Expected to be Hired by End of 2014

“My desire and prayer is that we bathe this entire process, maybe even drown this entire process, in prayer.”

Written by Staff | Friday, May 24, 2013

The transition plan is expected to begin in September, with the search for replacements beginning Jan. 1, 2014. A new coordinator, it is believed, will be hired between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2014.  In a letter to MTW missionaries, Paul Kooistra said, “My desire and prayer is that we bathe this entire process, maybe even drown this entire process, in prayer.

In March, the Committee on Mission to the World (CMTW) and the MTW senior team began discussions about MTW leadership transitions. It was determined that MTW would begin to plan for new personnel in the positions presently held by Paul Kooistra, coordinator; Roger Kooistra, chief financial officer; and Floyd Simmons, director of home office operations.

According to an announcement released May 23, the process of making these transitions has begun, and a complete transition plan will be established by CMTW during its September 2013 meeting.
