Lookout Mountain, Ga. – On August 28, 2008, at the 54th annual convocation of CovenantCollege, President Niel Nielson will announce the naming of two new additions to Covenant’s campus: a new academic building, Brock Hall, and the newest portion of the campus green, the DottieBrockGardens. These names honor former CovenantCollege president and current Covenant College Foundation president, Dr. Frank Brock, and his wife, Mrs. Dottie Brock.
RTS/Orlando had to close August 20 – 22, 2008 due to strong winds and flooding rains from Tropical Storm Fay. A water leak in the Pamplin Chapel set off the seminary's fire alarm. When the Orlando Fire Dept. responded it found a large roof leak and water pouring into the Instrument Room.

Dr. Wilber B. Wallis, 95, who had been in declining health for several years, died peacefully in St. Louis, Missouri on Wednesday, August 20, 2008. He was one of the founding fathers of Covenant Seminary and a great man of faith.

In its 2009 edition of America’s Best Colleges, U.S.News & World Report ranks Covenant College #4 among baccalaureate colleges in the South and #4 in the “Great Schools, Great Prices” category in the same field.
Forbes Magazine, in its newly released ranking of America’s Best Colleges, puts CovenantCollege #117 among the nation’s colleges and universities.
